This option is for the extravagant affair. We can bring in a skilled bamboo constructionist to fabricate an exotic bamboo venue draped in light floating fabric. This venue is ideal on the beach, under the stars with Tikki lights, lots of candles and live music. The image depicts and example of this type of venue. Size, shape and price will depend on the number of guests being catered for.
This option won’t work well in wet weather.

These marquees can be joined or used individually. They come with a variety of walls ropes and heavy-duty pegs. Joined together they make a generous venue size of 12m x 6m and will fit around 40- 50 people well.
If you want to create that special fabric lined look. We can install a lining and conceal the aluminium poles to give your marquee event that fairytale look.
I absolutely love marquee weddings because of the freedom and the unique nature of the event. I love that you are celebrating with the natural environment as your backdrop. I love that its your venue and not shared with anyone else. Bare in mind that with a marquee event you start with nothing and add the lot so its not a low budget event but for your special occasion in my opinion there is no event more amazing. There are only a few of these events permitted on the beach per year so if you are keen don’t delay booking. Please make an inquiry about price as it will vary depending on your numbers, and style of meal required as well as whether you want a band, dance floor etc etc.
Each event is vastly different from the one before so Stradbroke Island Events will quote on an individual basis dependent on your event size, location, staffing requirements, set up / pack down time involved and difficulty. Go to Packages to gain an overview of event costing.
If you will be styling your own event but need your hired items delivered and picked up after wards allow $50 for each leg of the journey. Should your requirements be very simple there will be a minimum $50 delivery/pick up charge. As each event and each client’s requirements are entirely unique I will quote on a per event basis but this should give you a good guide.
All prices are subject to change without prior warning.
Once a quote has been accepted and a deposit made the pricing will remain fixed.
We require a 50% Deposit to hold your booking and will require the remaining 50% STRICTLY 10 days prior to your event.
Bonds will apply to equipment hire and self managed events. The bond will be calculated on an individual basis- based on level of risk involved. All bonds are refundable 7 days after all items are returned in good order.
Please be sure to keep checking the items for hire list, as it will be added to on a regular basis.
Items in blue will attract an 80% donation to a community based youth group called Youthlink.
Youthlink creates opportunities for isolated island youth to participate in sporting, cultural and educational experiences that they would not normally have access to.
